Philanthropy
Codexis hosts multiple annual community drives to support families and children in need through local charitable organizations including Family Giving Tree and Second Harvest Food Bank.
We strive to make manufacturing more sustainable and create a brighter future for the betterment of human health. Our approach to sustainability is centered around innovation, proactively addressing the environmental impact of drug manufacturing, engaging our employees and communities, and practicing good corporate governance.
We are proud to share our inaugural sustainability disclosures highlighting Codexis’ performance in 2023, which are aligned with guidance provided by the International Financial Reporting Standard’s (IFRS) Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).
As a champion of sustainable manufacturing practices, we look for opportunities to collaborate with our business partners to advance research and innovation with the purpose of attaining better health for people and the planet. Currently, we are in the process of examining significant aspects of our direct and indirect GHG emissions inventory. Where possible, insights from this process are being leveraged to optimize product development and manufacturing. Further, we have water management practices in place as we strive to minimize our water usage, and we have implemented safety procedures for handling and disposing of waste to comply with applicable laws and protect the safety of our employees and the environment.
We operate with a robust governance structure and ethical principles guided by our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. These principles seek to ensure that our practices remain consistent with the highest standards of doing business and comply with all relevant regulations.
