Gjalt Huisman of Codexis was awarded the “Biocat Award 2014 for Industrial Research” for his contributions in the field of industrial biocatalysis, at biocat2014, the 7th International Congress on Biocatalysis, held from August 31st to September 4th in Hamburg, Germany.
The Biocat Awards are awarded to scientists to acknowledge their research achievements in the field of biocatalysis. The prestigious awards are presented in three categories: Scientific Research, Industrial Research and Lifetime Achievement to those who have made an outstanding contribution to their field. This year alongside Gjalt Huisman, the Biocat Awards for Scientific Research and Lifetime Achievement were awarded to Prof. Yasuhisa Asano and Prof. Dr. Christian Wandrey.
