Peter Seufer-Wasserthal, Ph.D. |
Dr. Seufer-Wasserthal is responsible for the company’s Pharma Services business unit, including the Julich Chiral Solutions unit in Germany. He joined Codexis in February 2006 after more than two decades in biocatalysis and 15 years of business development, sales and product management experience at life science companies. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Business Development, for Morphochem AG. Previously, he held senior business development and sales management positions at Evotec, Oxford-Asymmetry International (OAI, later acquired by Evotec) and Altus Biologics. He started his industrial career at Chemie Linz (now part of DSM) as process chemist and move to the commercial side as manager new business development in the custom manufacturing department. Dr. Seufer-Wasserthal received a Ph.D. in 1990 from Technical University Graz, Austria, and did postgraduate work with Prof. Bryan Jones at the University of Toronto, both on the use of enzymes in organic chemistry.
