David Walshaw |
Mr. Walshaw joined Codexis in 2004, and is responsible for the company's manufacturing operations. Prior to this, he held a variety of positions in commercial operations and process development at Avecia, dating back to the formation of Avecia from its origins within ICI and later Zeneca Specialties. Most recently, he was General Manager of Avecia’s Early Phase Development business, responsible for all aspects of business operations, including the recruitment and management of the group’s personnel, investment and construction of a new facility to service the business, and the establishment of a customer base. Mr. Walshaw was also a member of the Avecia Pharms Board. Mr. Walshaw is a Graduate of the Royal Society of Chemistry, receiving his degree in Chemistry with Honors from Huddersfield University.
