Davinder Singh Brar

Mr. Brar served for over 25 years as an executive of Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, a leading global generics company, rising to Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director before stepping down in 2004 to promote his Life Sciences research & consultancy companies. During his tenure, Ranbaxy grew to $US1 billion in revenue, with operations and partnerships outside of India in the United States, Europe and Asia including China. He currently serves as Chairman of GVK Biosciences Private Ltd., a life sciences research company, and Davix Management Services Private Ltd., a consulting services company in life sciences.
Mr. Brar is a Director of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India's central bank, where he also serves as a member of the inspection and audit sub-committee. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research and Director of MphasiS BFL Limited, a leading IT/BPO services company.
