Screening & Evolution Services

Codexis provides a range of tailored screening & evolution services, leveraging the industry-leading CodeEvolver^® directed evolution technology platform. These result in efficient and cost-advantaged manufacturing processes:

• Screening utilizes Codexis' large in-house collection of of evolved enzymes and knowledge of biocatalytic processes to provide starting enzymes for chemical synthesis, with follow-on lab samples available.
• Proof of Concept (PoC) delivers rapid enzyme improvements through a short-term evolution project. Kilo quantities of enzyme usually follow a PoC program, to support scale-up of chemical manufacturing.
• Evolution typically follows PoC and leads to custom enzymes and full-scale commercial processes tailored to the desired reaction conditions and commercial targets. Commercial quantities of enzyme or intermediate often follow.
