Codexis Named to Red Herring 100 North America 2007

Codexis, Inc. today announced it has been named a recipient of the Red Herring 100 North America 2007, a group of the 100 private companies in North America that play a leading role in innovation and technology. This is the 10th year for the awards.

Each year, Red Herring selects the top 100 North American companies leading the next wave of innovation from more than 800 potential candidates. Evaluation criteria include innovation, strategy, management and ecosystem integration.

“We are very pleased to receive this important recognition for our technology achievements and leadership,” said Alan Shaw, Ph.D, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Codexis partners with some of the world’s leading life science and energy companies, including Merck, Schering-Plough and Shell, to develop new, green manufacturing processes that save time and money and reduce waste. Innovation today must combine technology advances with environmental responsibility, which is the focus of what we do at Codexis.”

“We can see the exciting evolution of the technology sector reflected in the quality and variety of exceptional companies that we had to choose from in putting our list together," said Joel Dreyfuss, Editor-in-Chief of Red Herring. Winners were announced at the Red Herring Spring event May 1-3 in Monterey, CA.
